Project: Integrate Android phone calendar to Android Auto.  Press link

Problem statement: Instead of using their phone calendars while driving, drivers wanted access to their events on the car head unit. Android Auto team needed to define the feature set and create a safe and seamless car experience. 

My role and responsibilities: I led the design track from start to launch. Collaborated tightly with product manager for definition; and with a small team of designers, researchers, engineers on design direction and execution. 

Our first challenge was understanding which features from the phone to bring over and optimize for car usage. I helped the team gather knowledge from experts and through various product audits; creating a meaningful feature set. I created prototypes and collaborated with researchers to test the product hypotheses early on with users.

My efforts ensured Calendar app was launched successfully and was well-adopted by users. Team have a healthy backlog of features to develop further based on user feedback.
